In August 2007 development on Haguichi was started by Stephen Brandt in an effort to learn programming in C# and making use of the GTK widget toolkit. Creating a GUI for Hamachi offered the opportunity to get acquainted with many different aspects like communicating with the command line, generating treeviews, storing application preferences and showing notifications. After some years of irregular but consistent development Haguichi was finally released to the public on May 24th, 2010.
You can contact the developer by sending an e-mail to stephen at stephenbrandt dot com. Discuss Haguichi related stuff with other users via IRC in the channel #haguichi on irc.freenode.net. Visit the project page in Launchpad to report a bug or help with translations.
Haguichi is written in C# running on the Mono framework using GNOME technologies like GTK (widget toolkit), GConf (application preferences storing) and Pango (text rendering). All development is managed in Launchpad using Bazaar for version control.
